Reinventing Realism -
New Cinema from Romania
The Romanian Film Festival Returns for its 4th edition!
One of the largest events of its kind in North America, The Romanian Film Festival of Washington, D.C. (RFF) kicks off at E Street Cinema on November 2nd, 2023, under the already consecrated motto “Reinventing Realism — New Cinema from Romania”.
The most important Romanian cultural cinematographic event in the United States, RFF 2023 showcases the creative diversity of a cinema that has become a force on the international arthouse circuit.
Curated by Romanian film critic Mihai Fulger, the program, running for four consecutive days, features 6 of the most original and thought-provoking productions. Romanian directors, actors and film critics will cross the Atlantic to introduce their films and meet with the American cinephiles.
Celebrating the Romanian talent, the leitmotiv of the Romanian Embassy’s activity this year, RFF 2023 is organized by the Embassy of Romania to the United States and Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, at the Landmark E Street Cinema in Washington, DC and with the generous support of the sponsors from Romania: Banca Transilvania, BCR, CEC Bank, Dedeman, Kaufland, EximBank, One, Hidroelectrica, Lidl, EMag.
