Alina, a forty-something nurse (a brilliant Daniela Nane), earns a modest living by caring for Klaus, a comatose patient, taking on extra shifts to make ends meet. A single mother, she still supports her grown son, Radu, who struggles to find his place in life and in work. When Alina reconnects with Pavel, a high school friend turned real estate agent, a spark of romance rekindles — and with it, a glimmer of hope. Pavel even offers Radu a position in his agency, giving Alina a sense that life may finally be turning a corner. Yet what begins as a quiet renewal soon unravels when a stolen envelope exposes a secret that was never as well kept as it seemed. As small compromises deepen into grave ethical dilemmas, Alina finds herself caught between loyalty, love, and the imperative of doing the right thing. An impeccably acted and directed psychological thriller, about impossible moral choices.

Director Igor Cobileanski

Born in 1974 in the Republic of Moldova, Igor Cobileanski studied directing in Bucharest. His feature debut The Unsaved (2013), co-written with Corneliu Porumboiu, won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cottbus Film Festival and the Gopo Awards for Best First Feature and Best Cinematography. His follow-up, Eastern Business (2016), won Best Script and Best Actor at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
